The Village Green

It’s difficult to talk about Great Bentley without mentioning the Green.

It sits at the centre of village life and provides a huge open space for recreation and community activities. The Green is managed and protected by Great Bentley Parish Council, so there are rules governing things such as vehicle access, parking and organised events.

It’s also one of the features that gives Great Bentley its distinctive character — and makes navigating the village surprisingly easy: sooner or later, you generally end up back at the Green.
